We have also mobilized The GOD'S CHILD Project's resources and professional connections to help out as best we can. Based on GOD'S CHILD Project's Founder and Executive Director Patrick Atkinson's extensive work experience in Haiti, we realize that there is, and will be even more, infrastructural shortcomings and situational chaos in the relief effort.
To provide the highest quality and most efficient help possible without duplicating efforts or drawing down scarce and vital resources, we recommend the following:

Like you, we want to see the greatest benefit come from every donated dollar. In this situation in Haiti, we recommend Direct Relief International as your most effective, emergency giving channel. 99% of every dollar you donate goes directly to help those whose lives have been shattered.
Clothing, blankets, medical and other in-kind supplies already collectedby The GOD'S CHILD Project and already on-site in Central America will be transported to rescue groups in Haiti with whom The GOD'S CHILD Project coordinate efforts, just as soon as transportation is available.
Volunteers are not needed at this time since vital resources like food, water and secure sleeping space is scarce or non-existant. We will publicize when, and if, The GOD'S CHILD Project is able to form emergency ServiceTeams to help out.
